Not to be confused with Acoustic Electric guitars, electric hollow body or semi-hollow body electric guitars have their originas in the 1930's where guitars were struggling to produce the sound volume needed to make themselves heard over Jazz bands and the like. Gibson led the charge with the original ES-150 series which was modelled on the popular acoustic Spanish guitars of the time and included the F-holes.
Gisbon released a number of models including the very famous ES-335 model which has been widely copied and there are many replica Gibson ES335 guitars sold worldwide.
So Music have a wide range of hollow body and semi-hollow body electric guitars available under the Mannix brand. Many of these are modelled on well-known guitars but are affordable.
