Although the first modern Acoustic Bass guitar was developed in the 1950's they were largely popularised by Ernie Ball, who started producing commercially in the 1960's to give guitarists a more acoustic sound to complement the sound of acoustic guitars.
With a hollow body and shape similar to an acoustic guitar, the acoustic bass has a longer neck and often has a slightly larger body. Usually 4-stringed the normal tuning is an octave below the 6-string guitar and is normally E-A-D-G. Many other tunings though are possible.
So Music sell and ship acoustic bass guitars NZ wide.
